Semifinalist Set at Polo All-American

There's a half hour before the first semifinal between top seed Somdev Devvarman of Virginia and Georgia's Travis Helgeson, seeded fourth, so I thought I'd post photos of the semifinalists. Devvarman eliminated qualifer Jack Baker of South Alabama 6-4, 6-0, while Helgeson took down qualifier Alex Clayton 6-2, 6-2.

The two matches in the bottom half of the draw were much closer. Greg Ouellette of Florida got past Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State 7-6, 7-5 in a battle of No. 9 seeds. And in the only three-setter of the morning, qualifier Robert Farah of USC outlasted Treat Huey of Virginia, a nine seed, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5. Farah faced at least one break point in his last three service games in the third, but Huey could never capitalize and at 5-5 his serve let him down, with two double faults and precious few first serves opening the door for Farah.
