Right, that's why RH was on the 16's alternate list for Eddie Herr and Qualifying for Orange Bowl. He would have played if he could get in. Maybe he's scared to play own age group so why not be "injured" again. Check his record he's pulled out injured before. Hope his p's don't mess up the younger one too.

To Anonymous so you can get the facts straight in the future. Ryan in fact turned down a wild card into the Main Draw of the 16s Orange Bowl because I as his father and coach would not allow him to accept it knowing he was not near 100 percent and would have taken the place of someone else who could possibly make better use of it.I did however leave him in the qualies until the last possible minute in case he could try and play. They needed an answer on the wild card a couple of weeks ahead of time so we turned it down to help someone else. Yes he was entered in the Eddie Herr and no was not in the main draw or qualies so for this reason we did not have to withdraw him. By the way we didnt bother checking on a wild card for that tournament either because he wouldnt have been ready to play. You have to enter these tournaments weeks in advance so we dont know at the time of the deadline if he will be ready to play or not but I guess in your mind he has faked injuries since Kalamazoo when he last played 5 months ago. I also pulled him out of the Winter Nationals but did let him play in the Copper Bowl the week after that since it was a level 3 tournament and would be more suited to the caliber of competition that I thought he was ready for at that stage of his rehab and he made it to the semis in that. He has since played in the Texas Excellence tournament and beat a good field in getting to the Finals including Michael Vutam. The Finals was rained out by the way. Speaking of being scared to play his on age group he has a 7 and 0 lifetime record against the 1st and 3rd place finishers in this years Orange Bowl 14s so I hardly think he was scared to play. Gee maybe he really was injured. What could have made mom and dad more proud than having 1 Orange Bowl Champ. Maybe 2 but I guess as dad and coach I messed that up by not letting him play. Maybe in the future you will have the courage to use your name. I cant help but wonder if it is a jealous parent or a child who hasnt found a way to beat him. Sincerely Pat Harrison
